Rusty and Wolf – On a Journey
2019 is our freedom year. The year we walked away from our invisible pain and toxic environments to became involuntarily homeless. We traded trauma, abuse and toxicity for nature and camping (truck to tent and, now, truck, again) to expose our inner selves and find the persons and couple we are. Not who we were. Who we have become.
Rusty
I am the writer. Maybe even a budding or amateur, activist and/or advocate. Read the blog to learn more. It is part of how come I am launching this now. Systems analysis and advocacy are my skills and passion. From a generalist social work perspective (micro through macro).

The Future

We each have a mission and vision. Personal and professional.
We are surviving. We are actively working toward thriving.
Our lenses we “see” through include lived experiences in trauma – abuses and neglect. Both individually as well as collectively. Our language differs. Wolf sees parts; I see roles.
Wolf

Without one IOTA of a doubt, I write this because from day one, Wolf’s survival skills, combined with his sheer will to survive, have ensured today came. Neglect and a genuine love for the outdoors from a young age left their scars and effects/impacts, for sure. It also saved our lives and well-being. Read the Diary to learn more.
Awareness
“The monsters are real.”
Shinedown, “Monsters”
Real-Time
The meaning of “monsters” varies by person. For us, monsters are mental illness, bullying, trauma, abuse, toxic environments, biases, stigmas, systems, isolation and loneliness.
The meaning varies over time also. For now, this is a blog consisting of entries. Entries can be short or long. Really, anything. As for now, we are identifying “monsters” on different levels. Yet I need to release what details or nuances I can. Then I can preserve some of my thoughts and feelings for others and myself.
Learn, revise, educate, reframe. Who really knows, just yet, where this may lead to next. It’s first purpose, we are confident, is to help me remain productive feeling. What better way than a diary blog, we cannot think of currently!
Enjoy.
